Let’s face it, it happens. Every day we wake up and look in the mirror, we’re another day older, and for most of it, the signs are showing. It may be a new wrinkle, it may be one more gray hair, or some drooping where nothing had drooped before. We age.

It’s one of the most profitable and fertile industries to research, the health and beauty market. So it makes sense that nanotechnology will be used to help us stay younger longer. At least that’s the hope for the millions of baby boomers edging ever closer to “old” age. What is nanotechnology? Think of it as subatomic robots that go into your bloodstream and repair cellular damage that causes aging. Sure, they can be programmed to do all kinds of things, like attack cancer cells, or knit wounded skin at an accelerated rate, plus much, much more. But since people spent over $14 Billion dollars last year alone on trying to stay young with creams, pills, hair plugs and other cosmetics, not to mention the burgeoning plastic surgery industry, it’s safe to say that nanotech research in that field would go a long way to creating an accepting public.

It could literally be as simple as swallowing a pill and watching the effects of aging reverse in a short period of time. We age because the rate of cellular reconstruction slows down, and the human body can’t keep up the maintenance. The nanotechnology could reverse damage, or even trigger reactions with speedier repairs. We’re not there yet, but as a growing field of research and application, health and beauty products are a sure way to get nanotechnology accepted and embraced by the public.

The growth of the internet has created an interesting new market with the ability to increase web site traffic. As more websites popped-up on the internet, search engines were created to help individuals find the information they were looking for. As the number of web sites increased, search engine providers had to create detailed algorithms to sift through the massive quantity in hopes of finding the true gems.

Since companies build websites with the intention of selling high-quality products or services, they expect that they would be at the top of the search engine results. Unfortunately, the difficulty of understanding how search engines work, and their requirements for keeping their algorithms a trade secret, has led to the rise of SEO companies who specialize in helping other companies build their internet presence.
